A Day in the life

Welcome & Freestyle Exploration

Every Sunday morning begins with smiles, hugs, and a space full of wonder. As the children arrive, they’re greeted with an inviting setup of an open-ended activities. While everyone trickles in, they explore, play, and reconnect with friends.
And then comes the questions:
“Why are we building palaces?”
“Why are we painting on brown paper that looks like bricks?”
These curious moments open the door to our story of the day…

Story Time

This is where the magic unfolds. We gather together to listen, imagine, and learn as the Morahs bring the weekly story to life in fun and interactive ways. Big ideas come up from little hearts:
“Where IS Hashem?”
“How did Abraham find G-d when he was so young?”
It’s a time of connection—when Torah, wonder, and warmth come together.

Exploration Room & Activities

We’ve been waiting all morning... and now the door opens! The exploration room is filled with centers that bring our story to life. For 40 joyful minutes, we create, build, touch, and discover.
“Look what I built!” “Can I take this home?” “Do you think this is actually what Pharoh’s dream looked like?”
Older children dive into games, scavenger hunts, and bigger projects too. Every child is engaged, excited, and deeply immersed in meaningful play.

Davening

Now it’s time to speak to G-d. We gather in a circle, sing together, and pray. Shema is definitely a favorite - the moment we put our hand over our eyes and connect.
And we conclude with the dancing and singing of: “Hashem is here, Hashem is there…”
It’s beautiful, moving, and so full of spirit!

Cocoa & Scratch Cards

One of our sweetest moments. We sit down together for a quiet moment with cocoa :) to reflect. Each child scratches a card and writes something personal: a message to Hashem, something they’re grateful for, something they learned, or just what’s on their mind.
It’s peaceful, cozy, and filled with meaning.

Hebrew Scouts

This is a new highlight! After discovering the letter of the week, each child teams up with a buddy, chooses their next book, and gets started on their own reading journey.
It’s empowering—children feel confident, independent, and proud. They know what to do, they love their books, and they look forward to this time every week. We love watching our little readers grow!

Goodbye

The day always goes by way too fast! But I guess that’s what happens when you’re having fun! We’ll see you next week!
